About Us
Welcome to Sean and Prang’s web blog. This is where we try and keep all our friends and family updated on our lives and ministry work in Thailand
I originally came to Thailand together with Adam and Cindy. We first came to Thailand in 2004 on a short term mission trip with or church Coast Vineyard. It was kind of a scouting trip to see in what kind of way we could help in South East Asia. After visiting a couple of orphanages including Im Jai House we all felt led to come back and live in Thailand. So in April of 2005 we all packed up and left the states in pursuit of God’s calling on our life. We started full time language school and began volunteering part time back at Im Jai house. Soon we were all asked to join Im Jai House full time. Which at the time had about fifty kids or so. I soon became the maintenance man and a driver. As well as helping care for the thirty some boys from the ages of five to seventeen. This is where I met my wife Prang. She too was working there as a care giver.
My Life Now
I left the States a single man living with two friends working as an electrician. Life was just me. Work, surf, skate, study and just live the fun single life without many responsibilities. Since then things have changed a bit. Now being a husband and a father I am learning how selfish I really was. How easy the single life really was. We finished building our house along with Adam and Cindy in May of 2008. I still work part time at Im Jai fixing things when needed. I have a small landscaping business and also teach english on the side. We help out doing different things with our friend’s foundation which has a couple of small orphaned homes. We hope to soon open our house to orphans as well.
Vision
We want to open our home to help those in need. Primarily orphaned children but really who ever God brings our way. We would like to take those who are under the ages of five and who have no family to take care of them. Of course we are aware that their will be many different children with many different circumstances that may come our way. We are willing to do whatever it is that God puts on our hearts to do at that point in time. That is of course why we are all here. Just make ourselves available for him. It’s not about us and what we can do for God. It’s all about him and how much he loves us.
